Navigating the Harbour
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008Under some threatening black clouds the team from Coates Hire set sail on a Navigational Sailing Challenge. Each team of 5 sailed off towards Shark Island for the starting line aboard a flotilla of 36 foot Beneteaus. Each crew member with their own roll to play and a glint of victory in their eye got a chance to navigate, winch, tack and steer their way through the course.
There were a few moments of horizontal sailing which made for some crew very thankful of their waterproof jackets. All boats did their best to take line honours but it was crew of Sea Breeze that rounded Fort Denison first and had first dibs at the esky!
Maybe their next challenge should be our Rolex Sydney to Hobart Adventure
