The EOFY Booking Window in Sydney — What You Need to Know
Sydney’s corporate events calendar in May and June is genuinely competitive. Here’s the reality:
Good venues book out fast. Waterfront and CBD venues in Sydney are in high demand between May and June. If you have a specific venue in mind — or a date that’s non-negotiable — you need to move now.
Facilitators get booked out. We run multiple events per week in peak season. Our most popular dates in May and June are already filling. If you’re reading this in April or early May, you still have good options — but not if you wait another three weeks.
Budget approval takes time. If you need internal sign-off before booking, start that process this week. The worst outcome is having the budget available and no date left to spend it on.
30 June is a hard deadline. Unlike Christmas parties, where a December date can slip to January without much consequence, EOFY budget genuinely expires. Whatever you book needs to happen before the end of the financial year.
How Much Should You Budget for an EOFY Team Event in Sydney?
This is the question we get most often, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you want to achieve.
Half-day activity for 20–50 people, you’re typically looking at $3,000–$7,000 all-in depending on the activity and whether catering is included.
Full-day event for 50–150 people with a facilitated activity, lunch and a venue, budgets typically run from $15,000–$40,000.
Multi-day retreat with accommodation, activities and all logistics managed, budgets start from $50,000 and scale with group size and location.
