Novo Nordisk Aboriginal Art
Connecting with purpose and culture during annual company kickoff
Novo Nordisk Aboriginal Art
Hidden Door Experiences were invited to the annual kick-off for Novo Nordisk for an introduction to Aboriginal art and culture with over 200 people.
Guests were able to learn about traditional and modern Aboriginal art and how it plays an integral part in Indigenous culture. We then asked people to create their own artwork that tells their own, individual journey before sharing the powerful stories with their colleagues.

Novo Nordisk asked us to help kick off their conference with a powerful Aboriginal Art experience that connected people with purpose. We started by sharing artworks and stories from our resident artist, Garry Purchase, who gave an overview of his pieces and how they tell a story of his culture and family. We then ask a simple question: what does your story look like?
Guests are encouraged to spend 10 minutes to connect with people at their table, and around them. This connection and learning helps people build stronger bonds and strengthens relationships.
We now put that story into a mini artwork.
Using paint pens to eliminate any mess, the first step is to create a base coat and then start building layers that tell a story. There’s no need for people “to be arty” as the artwork is about creating a visual map of your journey or the journey of your team or organisation.
In a powerful and often emotional conclusion to the Aboriginal Art experience we ask people to share their artwork and story with others in the room to celebrate and promote storytelling and connection.
Contact our team today about adding an Aboriginal Art experience into your next conference or offsite.
