Where does the Sydney Amazing Race take place?
The race runs right through the Sydney CBD, with challenges spread across the city. Each team picks its own route and strategy, covering roughly 2km on foot, before finishing on the balcony at The Sydney Cidery.
How many people can take part?
The package is based on a minimum of 20 people and scales comfortably to large corporate groups. Everyone's split into competing teams, so it works just as well for a whole department as a smaller crew.
Is the Amazing Race good for corporate team building?
Absolutely. It's one of our most popular corporate team building activities in Sydney — teams problem-solve, delegate and strategise under a bit of friendly time pressure, then unwind together over drinks. Plenty of laughs, genuine connection, and it's designed so everyone can join in.

From physical tasks to creative challenges and cryptic brain teasers, the goal is to strategise and play to the skillsets within your team. Whether you have a knack for puzzles or a brain full of music and movie knowledge, there’s something for everyone in your team!

While some challenge locations are close to the start/finish area, other challenges might require you to search a Little further, so each team must decide their own route and strategy.

Teams will be faced with a number of challenges including:

  • Snap Happy
  • Scrambled Heads
  • Movie Buff
  • Songbird
  • Foreign Trade

We estimate that teams will walk approx. 2kms to complete The Amazing Race.

You’ll have 1 hour after your Amazing Race to enjoy your Nibble & Nosh package in a reserved area The Sydney Cidery.

  • Vegetable rice paper rolls with vermicelli (V, GF, VG)
  • Rockmelon wrapped in jamon
  • Satay chicken skewers with peanut sauce
  • Pumpkin arancini with rocket and aioli
  • Vegetarian empanada (VG)
  • Assorted gourmet pizza

Wash that down with the 1 hour Gold Drinks package that includes:

  • Sydney Brewery Beer
  • Cascade Light Beer
  • Assorted Soft Drinks
  • Zilzie BTW Sparkling, Shiraz & Sauvignon Blanc

All dietary requirements can be catered to.

The Amazing Race is a fun team building experience, but also puts a focus on time management and delegation of roles.  It’s all about connection and creating great memories.

Teams are presented with a wide range of tasks that need to be completed in a limited time, so teams must collaborate to create a winning race strategy.  But let’s be real. The Amazing Race is about getting people to laugh and have fun, and this experience delivers that in spades.

While fun and connection is our number one objective for The Amazing Race, there are also some other outcomes:

  • Team Building: Build trust and strengthen relationships with a healthy dose of friendly competition).
  • Improved Morale: A team that laughs together, works better together.
  • Inclusion and Energy: Designed so everyone can participate, regardless of age, ability, or how much they “hate team building.”
