Marayong South Public School Helping Hands

Staff engaged in Helping Hands as charity team building activity to kick off the school year

Marayong South Public School Helping Hands

Marayong South Public School asked us to create an engaging, charity-based experience for teachers and staff mid-year to reward, thank and motivate everyone into the remainder of the school year.

Helping Hands allows participants to build mechanical hands to go to landmine victims and people who have lost hands in tragic circumstances, around the world.

  • THE EVENT
  • The Helping Hands Program is not your typical team building activity. It goes beyond conventional corporate activities, offering organisations an extraordinary opportunity to engage their employees while making a meaningful impact. This CSR initiative allows participants to assemble prosthetic hands for amputee landmine victims in developing countries. In this blog post, we’ll explore how this program transforms traditional team building into a purpose-driven, heartwarming experience, all while contributing to a global goal of providing 25,000 prosthetic hands.

Helping Hands Is  Purposeful Team Building

At its core, the Helping Hands Program is a fusion of team building and corporate social responsibility (CSR). It’s more than just a feel-good activity; it’s a chance for participants to connect with a noble cause. In just 1-2 hours, they can craft a prosthetic hand that will profoundly impact the life of an amputee. This blend of engagement and purpose not only boosts morale but also fosters a sense of fulfilment that transcends the workplace. It’s CSR team building at its best, where every action carries a deeper meaning.

One of the program’s standout features is its commitment to providing 25,000 prosthetic hands worldwide. This ambitious goal is a testament to the impact that organisations and their employees can make when they unite in a shared mission. Each prosthetic hand represents a renewed sense of hope and mobility for an individual in need. By participating in the Helping Hands Program, companies can be part of this remarkable journey towards transforming 25,000 lives while strengthening their own teams.

Marayong South Public School: Helping Hands

Recently, we had the privilege of bringing the Helping Hands experience to Marayong South Public School as part of their mid-year staff day. Before delving into the hands-on workshop, we took the time to explore the deeper purpose behind the activity. This emotional connection served as a powerful motivator for all participants, ensuring they understood the significance of the task at hand. In small teams, employees worked collaboratively to assemble and test hand units, all while personalising the accompanying carry cases with messages of positivity and love for the recipients.

The Helping Hands Program isn’t just about building prosthetic hands; it’s about building stronger teams and a sense of corporate responsibility. It’s a highly motivating and rewarding experience that transcends the confines of the office. Participants leave with a profound sense of accomplishment, knowing they’ve made a tangible difference in someone’s life. This program exemplifies how corporate social responsibility can be woven into team-building activities, creating a win-win scenario for both employees and the communities they serve.
