While our charity team building activities are professionally organised and facilitated, there are loads of CSR initiatives you can put in place to help give back to your community and/or local charity partners. Here are a few ways you can giveback and also help cultivate a culture of kindness within your team:
Volunteer Days
Organising a volunteer day at a local charity or nonprofit organisation such as Dandelion Support Network is a great way for teams to give back to the community. Activities may include helping at a food bank, cleaning up a park, or assisting at a shelter.
Blanket or Care Package Making
Teams can create care packages or blankets for homeless individuals. This hands-on activity not only builds camaraderie but also provides essential items to those in need.
Charity Runs or Walks
Participating in charity runs or walks, such as the 7 Bridges Walk, not only promotes team fitness but also raises funds for various causes. Teams can train together and fundraise as a group.
Fundraising Challenges
Teams can compete to see who can raise the most money for a chosen charity within a specified time frame. Creative fundraising ideas, like bake sales, car washes, or charity auctions, can be both fun and rewarding.
Community Clean-Up
Teams can participate in community clean-up projects, such as litter removal or graffiti cleanup. This activity fosters a sense of responsibility for the local environment.
Environmental Conservation
Activities like tree planting, beach cleanups, or wildlife habitat restoration not only contribute to environmental preservation but also promote team bonding through shared responsibility.
Donation Drives
Teams can organise donation drives for items like clothing, school supplies, or toys. These collected items can be given to local schools, shelters, or organisations that support those in need.
Random Acts of Kindness
Teams can perform random acts of kindness in their community, such as paying for someone’s meal, leaving positive notes, or helping a stranger in need.
