The Big Picture

This unique art concept turns small canvasses into one large artwork to reinforce the concept of working collaboratively together towards one common outcome.

Prior to the day we ask you to choose a design that best suits your purpose or messaging, before getting our in-house artist to outline it onto the canvasses.

Working in small teams on the day, the group is asked to use a canvas to communicate a common theme.  This may be anything from visualising your company values to defining your team culture, to how you see success.

Teams then get creative in bringing their ideas to life.

After presenting back to everyone in the room, we then piece together The Big Picture as the final element of the day.

  • PURPOSE
  • When individuals or teams finish their individual artworks, we encourage them to share their creative work with the group. This sharing of ideas and perspectives is a valuable aspect of the experience, particularly when it comes to interpreting company values and team culture.

After the teams have completed their individual canvases in The Big Picture event, each person carefully gathers their canvas and places it to create “The Big Picture”.

To maintain an element of suspense, the final artwork is revealed piece by piece.  To the delight and anticipation of all participants, the design is revealed.  This fantastic moment is met with thunderous applause, truly showcasing the collective effort and creativity of the teams involved. This process reinforces the idea that, even though we often work independently or in small teams, we are all part of a larger purpose that unites us into one cohesive team.

This activity fosters meaningful conversations around company values, vision, and purpose. ‘The Big Picture’ is an ideal team-building activity or conference breakout suitable for medium to large groups of all ages and fitness levels.

  • DESIGN
  • Before the event, we take the time to understand your chosen theme and purpose, enabling our in-house artist to create a custom brief that outlines the design onto the mini canvases.

The custom artwork is a pivotal component of ‘The Big Picture,’ ensuring that your final masterpiece can incorporate elements like your logo, icons, and imagery that perfectly encapsulate your chosen theme.

This experience goes beyond simple colouring. During the event, participants work in small groups or at designated tables, tasked with creating a visual representation of the theme on their mini canvases. This can encompass visualizing your company’s core values, defining your team’s culture, or expressing your vision of success.

Teams are encouraged to unleash their creativity and bring their ideas to life, all without requiring any previous art skills. Our dedicated creative team is there every step of the way, guiding participants from the initial idea stage to putting brush to canvas.

Quoting the great Nelson Mandela, ‘everything seems impossible until it’s done’ is certainly the case when we brief the group that in less than 90 minutes, each person will break a wooden board.
