The Utimate Conference Activity

The Hidden Door Experiences team had the privilege of working with Talent International to create a range of experiences for their annual staff conference actovity. And boy, was it a blast!

From the moment we walked into the conference room in Melbourne, we could feel the energy and purpose that Talent International exudes. It’s evident that this group of 200 charismatic and driven individuals GIVE A DAMN about their purpose, people, and impact on the world around them.

Connecting With Purpose

We kicked off the conference with a powerful charity-based conference activity with the GMs within the business, Helping Hands. The goal was to disconnect from distractions and connect with what matters most. It was emotional, it was intimate, and it was an experience that brought the team closer together.

Communication

In the afternoon, we wanted to challenge the guests on how they communicate with each other. We developed a large-scale VR conference activity that involved teams using the headset to navigate through an exercise where they were reliant on the language and tone of the rest of their team. It was a powerful way to emphasize the importance of interpersonal communication.

Energiser

Day two was a change of pace. After a fun party the night before, we wanted to kick start the day with a conference activity that had a true purpose, Breaking Barriers. The group learned martial arts techniques and heard a powerful story of overcoming cancer before breaking a wooden board as a commitment to completing their own objective. It was a powerful way to encourage the group to support and uplift each other.

In the afternoon, the group split into three experiences, each with its own takeaway based on the purpose. One group created their own pieces of street art, another group created their own music videos, while the last group participated in an Amazing Race around Melbourne that focused on iconic Melbourne experiences and locations.

Shared Vision

When we asked the teams how they visualized their theme, “Lead the Way,” we were amazed by the synergy among the groups. The teams doing street art had the same shared vision – a lighthouse beaming light across the water, a new path. It was a testament to the strong values that Talent International upholds – values based on nurture and reward – which allowed us to work outside of the box and create an unforgettable couple of days that connected their people to their values and purpose.

The conference was a success not only because of the amazing experiences that we were able to create, but also because of the energy and passion that Talent International brings to the table. It was inspiring to work with a group of people who truly care about their work and each other.

Looking back at Talent Fest 2019, we loved that each conference activity was tailored to the agenda. That’s what gets us out of bed every day.

Are You Purpose Obsessed?

Finally, purpose can help businesses navigate challenges and uncertainty. In times of crisis, companies with a clear sense of purpose can use it as a guiding light to make decisions.
